| Research Description | Quaternary and Applied Geology
My research is focuses on paleoenvironmental reconstructions associated with the Cordilleran Ice Sheet that covered British Columbia. These reconstructions include plant, insect and animal communities from times before the last glaciation, growth and decay of the ice sheet, ages of ice margins and glaciation, and ice flow history. Raised sea caves are a unique avenue of research that aid in the evaluation of the possible route the first humans used to enter North America. I also carry out research and teach courses regarding natural hazards such as landslides, earthquakes, and floods.
